Eggs and Bacon
LATE SHOW
Directed and Written by Chris Edmund
Two Australian actors are performing in a poorly devised and reviewed play at the Dublin Fringe Festival.
They drown their sorrows and then find themselves lost and frightened in the city in the early hours of the morning. They break into a gallery in search of safety and some culture and find themselves face to face with a bad tempered ghost, one of the greatest painters of the 20th century Francis Bacon.
Bacon is less than amused but as more champagne flows, he slowly warms to them. Night turns to day and Bacon instructs the young men about life and art and as they blink soberly out into the reality of a Dublin day they realise that they have learnt some important lessons from a master.
